EDUCATION: FUTO PUNISHES STUDENTS
In the view of most of our sources:
It's on record that the students of Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO) earlier this Year in February had a peaceful Protest.
The demonstration was Led by One Mr. Rochas Ogbonna (FUTO former SUG P.R.O) .
The Protest which was peaceful at first, later turned rough and violent when the Imo state Police Force and DSS arrested the supposed Leader of the Protest and some few other student.
Which made the environment rough and infiltrated by thugs fro neighbouring environment causes a lot of tension and damages to the School senate building and ICT building.
What caused and made the student Protested was the hike in their school and acceptance fees for the incoming students coupled with the unlimited taxes from various sources of the university like increased in course registration, hike in prices of text book, registration of courses that are meant to be free, No banks and No ATM even common Transportation within the school environment.

The school administrations of FUTO said that it was Politically motivated (the Protest) and shut down the school for over 3 months now.
Punishment From Futo_Sente to Futo_Students:
1. Extension of the supposed One week break to Months
2. Expulsion of Six final Year Students
3. Stopping of the Means of Students Transportation, providing them with Moluwel instead of School Shuttles
4. Charging all student (25,000) with the handful sum of #12,500 f supposed damages.
5. No reduction of School fees
6. Different Resumption dates for Student
7. Making the only voice of the students Voiceless (SUG)
Now most of our sources are saying and asking :
1. Was the Protest worth it?
2. Since we were not Listened to, Shall we protest again?
3. What is the way Forward?
