RIVERS GOVT SET TO DEMOLISH TRANS-AMADI WATERSIDE GHETTO
News: Rivers Govt set to Demolish Trans Amadi Waterfront
It's about three weeks now that the residents of Ahiamakara in Ogbumnuabali, Trans-amadi Waterfront received an information from the Rebisi community of the Land that the State Government of Rivers State has bought off the Land.
Ahiamakara is a Land formerly a Market for the residents around the Environment. A Market with little or no more than 9 shops and average of 50 people within exactly 12 years ago.
In recent times 2017, it's a place with about 32,050 person living in their shops and small houses with no social amenities, but surviving on their daily businesses.
With this small piece of Land that over thousands of people reside in from various part of Nigeria, Mostly people from Akwa-Ibom, Igbo, Igoni, Hausa and Yoruba.
It recent times it has become hideout for criminals, cultists and thugs, but business there is still flourishing on a daily basis because it's a source of Living for most residents Living within and outside the environment.
This is from a Source within the Area: As she further says all the areas now are marked for demolition and all Residents have been given one month notice to evacuate the Area.
The Big Question now remains:
1. Is it the right time for this?
2. Where will those 32050 occupant of this area go to?
More Information coming Soon!!
Thanks!!!
